Pearl Harbor Attack!

The attack on Pearl Harbor was one that completely shook America to the core. Known as one of the most famous battles to fire up the time of WWII, the naval base of Pearl Harbor and its destruction became an icon of disaster among the world, and especially America.

On the 7th of December in the year 1941, an American base located in Hawaii was viciously and brutally attacked without warning, and left a path of devastation in its wake. The attack which came to be deadly, lasted only a small time frame of one hour and about 15 minutes. That's it! Yet in the small time of this destruction, much damage was done, and America faced severe heartache.

The damage that was done by the Japanese fighter planes left sheer terror and complete horror on the faces and in the heart of the American people. We were left with shock and awe and it proved to be an everlasting pain, which sadly, continues to live in the American soil of today. Approximately 2,043 were pronounced dead and the families of the dead and wounded were especially left with a question of why? Why THAT base and why THEM? Overall, the pains and ultimate suffering that came as the result andconclusion of the Japanese attack on the Hawaiian base of Pearl Harbor proved to be a constant reminder of the severity of war.
